Sunday 11th February 10am-2pm We have one hundred trees to be planted, which will help create a shelter, habitat and movement corridor for wildlife of many kinds, clean the air and even make it more fragrant. It will be beautiful to look at too. The more people help, the more time there will be for tea and good company. Something nice to go with the tea is very welcome of course but home-made is most fit for the occasion!

Sunday 28th January 10 – 11am For the Big Garden Birdwatch. Just an hour to count all the birds that come into the garden. It’s a national event organised by the RSPB and we’ll upload our data to help them get an up-to-date picture of bird life in the UK. You can do it in your own garden too. Register and download this year’s guide at the RSPB website.

Sunday 21st January 12 – 3pm First nature event of the year to create a new water habitat. The pond will create wildlife habitat and aquatic plants and form part of the garden’s connection to the Metropolitan River SINC (site of importance for nature conservation). This is part of our ongoing strategy to increase biodiversity in the garden and the river.
